"So I commend the enjoyment of life, because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun." Ecclesiastes 8:15

Memorial Day Weekend

First, today Zach and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary.  We had a nice day relaxing at home (partly due to a crazy week and another part due to Zach having Strep throat).  What an awesome two years it has been! :)

We watched Zach's cousin Chase throw Javelin at state track on Saturday afternoon, then made our way up to Hesston.  Michael was home from Tennessee and Kristen was home from Arkansas.  I love it when everyone is together...it doesn't happen often enough! It was a nice afternoon of catching up, food, and a good game of Settlers before bed.  Jeffrey left early the next morning for a summer project in Florida with Campus Crusade for Christ.

Zoe is starting to smile!!! :)

Sunday we went to a minor emergency clinic in Wichita to get Zach some antibiotics, then the family came down to Harper for dinner.  It was fun to show everyone our newest projects, and Michael got the grand tour of the town. Zach's family came over for supper, including uncle Tom and sister Kodi! I loved having everyone here!

A Busy Couple of Weeks...

It's crazy how busy this time of year is, even though we're not in school cramming for finals! (And thank goodness we don't have any studying for finals in our future! :) ) Zach and I serve on the Outreach Ministry at church, and we planned a Bluegrass Concert and BBQ cook-off.  We ended up with beautiful weather, and some awesome burger creations.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the evening, and we hope to make it an annual event.  We heard several people claiming how they were going to tweak their burgers so they could win next year!

Last weekend we made the trip up to Kansas City to spend time with the Bauer fam for Mother's day.  We enjoyed a movie, pedicures, hanging out at Kodi's house, LOTS of food, and entertainment as Charlie "played" with his friend Snickers.  We went to cousin Chase's birthday party on the way home Sunday.
