Well here it is almost the end of January and I haven't posted anything since Christmas! The weather here has been COLD so we've been hibernating. And eating apparently. Aria has orders from her doctor to up her calorie intake and I think the rest of the family is joining her in that quest! I'm pretty sure that's exactly the opposite of what everyone else is doing in January!
Lyle was thrilled to make cotton candy with Zach one evening!
(Don't mind his waaay overgrown hair! I could never get ahold of our hairdresser to make an appointment, so we ended up cutting it ourselves! Turned out not too shabby!)
SO excited to make Zach's birthday cake. He gave up staying at Grammy's for the afternoon just so he could help me! Sweet boy. I'm sure licking the spoon had something to do with it!
Lyle bought a zoo!
Happy Birthday Zach! We celebrated with his favorite dinner Sunday night, and a day off work on Monday to go see Star Wars in IMAX.
Crazy cake girl-don't let her see the cake if you're not going to give her any!
Playing with her princess castle.
The kids have been loving the fort Zach made out of Aria's new carseat boxes! This girl already thought peek-a-boo was hilarious, and now it's a thousand times more fun!
Zach and his pineapple he grew! It tasted so so good! He chopped the top off one of our pineapples and planted it. Granted it takes 2-3 years to grow one, but how cool is that??
I took the carseats out of my car to get it cleaned and Aria was entertained for a good thirty minutes climbing in and out of them!
Puzzles for the win. This kid is seriously good at puzzles.
Slowly, slowly learning to paper-piece for Aria's quilt.
Sunday was the first day the sun came out in what felt like years! We soaked up as much of it as we could!
Digging for treasures (aka chalk) in the ice.
Wagon ride!
Most of the time after Christmas I am done with winter and ready for spring! Since it is only January and we've got a good couple months of winter left, a mild day with sunshine can go a long way to boosting my spirits! Anyone with me?
