"So I commend the enjoyment of life, because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun." Ecclesiastes 8:15

36 Weeks

Size of Baby: A crenshaw melon

Total Weight Gain: 33 ish

Maternity Clothes: Yes...wishing I had more short-sleeved tops.  Who knew it would be 80 already in March!

Gender:  BOY!!!  I haven't had any doubts until this girl at the grocery store told me that her two sonograms (including one 4 days before she delivered) were boys but she had a girl.  I sure hope they were right!

Movement:  Yes, you can really tell where he is now..usually on my right side under my ribs!

Sleep: Some nights are better than others.  I have been sick this last week with a cold/upper respiratory infection and I slept awful then.

What I miss: Oh just simple things like tying my shoes easily, bending over, and it not being a production to just get off the couch! :)

Cravings: Sweet Tea

Symptoms: Each day is a little different, starting to just be uncomfortable.

Best moment this week:We were able to work on the baby room and get it painted last weekend.  Zach did an awesome job...I will put pictures up when it is all put together.  We went to see the Hunger Games on Sunday (good movie!) and made trips to Target and Babies r Us to stock up!

What I'm Looking Forward To:I go to the Dr tomorrow, and am curious to see if I have made any progress.  Crazy to think how close this is all getting!  Also ready to get babies things all set up and organized.

Baby Shower

Our church had a baby shower for us on Saturday morning.  They had a wonderful devotion for us and yummy food!  Such a fun morning...we are so blessed by this church family!

Wedding Festivites

What a crazy and fun weekend we had celebrating Kodi getting married!  And can you believe that I made it home without a single picture??  Ridiculous!!  Zach's uncle, Tom, was much better at taking pictures...so I will include a few from him.

We headed up to Kansas City Wednesday night after work. (A day of work that included doing hearing/vision tests on next year's Kindergarten class.  Oh my goodness were they cute!)  Thursday the girls went to get our nails done while the boys ran errands.  I went back to the hotel to take a nap before the rehearsal...I wimped out several times and took naps over the weekend! :)  We had a quick rehearsal at the church that evening, and dinner consisted of Shawn's favorite foods:  pizza and buffalo wings.  This made me think of my little brother Jeffrey's graduation party food requests:  hot dogs and gummy worms.  lol silly boys!  Afterwards I went back to Kodi's to help her pack, then off to bed!
Friday we were able to take it easy in the morning, as the wedding didn't start until 7.  We went to the church after lunch to get ready, take  pictures, then it was wedding time!  We had a little adventure taking pictures outside..thankfully Tom and others were there to help me climb hills and through grass in my dress!  Kodi was beautiful...and everything went so well!  Their wedding and reception was movie themed...complete with press kits, a movie poster, popcorn, candy, and soda.  Such cute ideas!

Look at my big belly!!!

I really felt pretty good through the whole day...my feet were hurting and I was tired by the end, but I think everybody else was too! :)

We were able to enjoy time with family and friends on Saturday and Sunday...and lots and lots of food!

32 Weeks

Size of Baby:  large squash

Total Weight Gain: 31...starting to feel like this is ridiculous!

Maternity Clothes: Yes, and sadly some of them don't even fit anymore! oh my...

Gender:  BOY!!!

Movement:  Yes, I think that is my favorite part about being pregnant.  Although he has found my ribs and enjoys kicking them.

Sleep:  Not so great lately.  I'm starting to get the tiredness I felt in the first trimester back again.

What I miss: Being able to go the mall/clean/walk up the stairs without getting tired.

Cravings: Girl Scout Cookies were delivered this week!  woo-hoo!!!

Symptoms:  Back and hip pain.  We went to the mall with Kodi on Saturday and I was waddling pretty good by the end of the day! lol

Best moment this week: Kim and I went up to Kansas City last weekend to help Kodi with a few last minute wedding details, and so I could go to her bachelorette party.  It was a fun weekend!

What I'm Looking Forward To: A crazy busy week!  Kodi and Shawn's wedding is on Friday.  We are headed up on Wednesday night after work.  We are looking forward to seeing all the family that is coming in.  I am hoping I don't look too conspicuous in my bridesmaid dress! :)
