"So I commend the enjoyment of life, because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun." Ecclesiastes 8:15

Chipotle Induced Mayhem

So this seems to be the season for crazy storms.  We were up in Wichita for dentist appointments on Thursday, and stayed around to eat and run a few errands.  As we were shopping in Target, a panicked voice came over the intercom informing shoppers that we were in a tornado warning, and that we could either leave or go to the shelter in the offices.  Zach would have rather left, but I convinced him to go to the shelter.  Growing up in Kansas I am used to storms, but tornadoes still make me nervous!  They cleared the warning for our area pretty quickly, and we were able to finish up our shopping.  It was POURING by the time we were ready to leave...and we made a mad dash to the car.  Zach had been counting on taking Chipotle home for lunch tomorrow....that boy would take home a party platter and eat it everyday for the next week if I let him.  So we drove...in the pouring rain...back down Maize to get Chipotle.  Then the hail started.  And kept going.  And now my car has little dings all over it.  We finally got out of most of the weather and pulled over in Clonmel to watch the clouds.  There was definite rotation in the clouds, but no touchdown.  Thankfully no hail on the wheat in Harper! :)
