Aria Grace: Eleven Months

How darling girl are you so close to turning a year old??  One moment I am so excited to see you growing, exploring, and learning new things and the next moment I am so sad that you are not a baby anymore!

Eating-Zach says that the hierarchy in our house is #1-Mama #2-food.  I'm pretty sure the fact that you still get milk from me helps with that ranking! ;) You eat almost all table food.  If supper isn't something you can eat very well, we cut up fresh fruit for you.  You love pancakes, bananas, grapes, cheerios, spaghetti...honestly I'm not sure there is anything you don't like at this point! 

Sleeping- I am going to jinx myself by saying this but you are starting to sometimes mostly sleep through the night.  lol.  Right now you take a morning and afternoon nap, then go to bed around 7 or so.  You still prefer to take your pacifier and lay down by yourself to go to sleep.  No rocking to sleep for you!  You almost always sleep on your stomach with your legs pulled up under you.

Likes- You love to play peek-a-boo.  Honestly it is the only way I can get your diaper changed without you flipping over and climbing all over the place.  I give you the blanket and you will pull it up and down over your eyes.
   

Milestones- Sometimes we can get you to take a few steps between our hands, but I think it's mostly momentum that keeps you going!  You will stand for a couple seconds by yourself, then you are off and crawling.  You can climb the stairs and you can climb them fast!  Before we know it you are half-way up and looking back at us smiling!  Time to put up another baby gate!

Mama is your favorite word, but you will also say Dada, and a version of Lyle and Paula.  You are starting to babble quite a bit more.  You will sign more, please, all-done.

  

Fun Firsts- You got to be a baby model this month!  You were so cute up on the fashion show stage!  You also go to celebrate your first Halloween!  We dressed you up as a monkey and you had a blast trick-or-treating, riding on daddy's shoulders.

Lyle Update: You and Lyle are so cute together!  He loves to make you laugh, and is still very sweet to share his toys with you.  You like to have tickle fights and he thinks it is so funny when you crawl over him.
