Hawaii.14

On their photo tour, Kodi and Shawn got the low down on great places to go on the island.  We drove back to Hoopii Waterfall (which we looked for, but couldn't find the other day).  It was an easy walk down to the falls, but there were quite a few people there already, so we didn't do any jumping or swimming.  We made a pit-stop at Starbucks, then headed to the south side of the island.  On our drive, Zach won tickets on the radio!  There was pretty much only one really local station that would come in, and they were asking Hawaii University trivia questions, so Zach pulled out his phone and called in.  He won two tickets to a fundraiser event, where he could meet the coach and players.  Unfortunately it was on Friday after we left, but it was still fun to win!

Kodi and Shawn had friends that were on the island, so we met up with them for lunch.  Before they were ready we went to the Hyatt resort to look around.  It was gorgeous.  I think I could stay there and never leave the resort!  

We ate lunch at Brennecke's, a really fun restaurant right across from the beach. Afterwords we went to see the Sprouting Horn Blow Hole.  We tried to go to the Botanical Gardens close by, but they were finished with tours for the day.

There was a nice shopping area near by, so we headed there, knowing there was a great shave ice place close :)  Lyle was waaay past his nap time by now, and was practically falling asleep while he ate bites of our shaved ice.  It was too funny.
